[02:50.00]The preacher went out a huntin', it was on one Sunday morn' [02:50.00]It was against his religion, but he took a shotgun along [02:50.00]He got himself a mess o' mighty fine quail and one old scraggly hare [02:50.00]And on the way home he crossed the path of a great big grizzly bear [02:50.00]Well the bear got down lookin' ready to charge [02:50.00]The preacher never seen nothin' quite that large [02:50.00]They looked each other right smack in the eye [02:50.00]Didn't take that preacher long to say bye [02:50.00]The preacher, he run till he spotted a tree [02:50.00]He said,"Up in that tree's where I oughta be" [02:50.00]By the time that bear made a grab for him [02:50.00]The preacher was a sittin' on top a that limb [02:50.00]Scared to death, he turned about [02:50.00]He looked to the sky and began to shout [02:50.00]"Hey lord, you delivered Daniel from the bottom of the lion's den [02:50.00]You delivered Jonah from the belly of the whale and then [02:50.00]The Hebrew children from the fiery furnace [02:50.00]So the good books do declare [02:50.00]Hey lord, if you can't help me, [02:50.00]For goodness sake don't help that bear" [02:50.00]Yea, look out preacher! [02:50.00]Well, about that time the limb broke off [02:50.00]And the preacher came tumblin' down [02:50.00]Had a straight razor out of his pocket [02:50.00]By the time he lit on the ground [02:50.00]He landed on his feet right in front a that bear [02:50.00]And Lord, what an awful fight [02:50.00]The preacher and the bear and the razor and the hair [02:50.00]Flyin' from left to right [02:50.00]Well first they was up and then they was down [02:50.00]The preacher and the bear runnin' round an' round [02:50.00]The bear he roared, and the the preacher he groaned [02:50.00]He was havin' a tough time holdin' his own!
